To assure the timely and accurate administration of medications and IV solutions to patients pursuant to a therapeutically valid prescriber's order and in accordance with all state and federal regulations as well as established peer standards, hospital policies, procedures and protocols. Working with the Pharmacy Manager/Director to manage the daily operations of all areas of drug distribution, supervises Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Externs/Interns; follows pharmacy policies, procedures and protocols; participates in Performance Improvement activities and maintains readiness for JCAHO accreditation.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Hospital experience including Unit Dose, IV Additives, computer literate, good interpersonal and Communicative (written & verbal) required.
Bachelor's Degree in Science/Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) from an Accredited School of Pharmacy
